"Hashira" (柱) — pillar in Japanese — reflects the design's grounding principle: low-profile, structurally honest, and quietly refined. The linen fabric disc diffuses light evenly across a wide arc, warming bedrooms, hallways, and entryways without any harsh hotspot.
